Poetry slam

 Poetry slam.

We have been learning how to make a poem  we learnt this because it's summertime and the people who runs summer learning journey set it up for us For this task we had to think  of Random words  and write them down  and once you have done all of that you have to get  synonyms  for  the words that you  wrote down  and put them  next to the random word you thought of and go on to the next slide  and write things down that you like to do What's the weather like what you say and what you like to do in summertime   I enjoyed  writing the poem and I think I  of random words with synonyms  I didn't find anything challenging because it was a pretty easy thing to do can you please  comment on my blog if like to make poems or read poems that all Here's the link to  the slides to make a poem for you to do one yourself here is my poem am I slides hope you like them hope you like the activity yourself bye here is my poem 

SUMMER TIME in summertime it's always sunny which is funny i like to play sport when i play i have no thout when it's sunny i go to the beach and have a set.When it's sunny i can see lots of greenery.

What is a Diwali pattern?

 we have been learning about Diwali last week and diwali is a traditional indian celebration and the celebration is on the 4 November .So on the  4 November we did a pattern we ether got to draw a pattern on a piece of paper or draw it on the concrete with chalk but if we wanted to do it on the concrete we had to have at least three or two people in a group to make to more easy because it's a big thing to do it yourself.We had to look up a rangoli pattern and try to decide with your group if you want the to do the pattern or not I found  it challenging to make the outline of the pattern  and I enjoyed this because it was fun to design it and smudge to make the colors look like an ombre of all different colours. NASA colouring book.

NASA colouring book.

We have been learning about NASA witch i like nasa a lot so i like this activity  we learnt this because  we have 3 days until schools over for the year so we are doing summer learning journey Throughout the school holidays luckily we all got a head start  which was yesterday   for this task we had to go on to the summer learning journal website and we got to choose if we wanted to colour in the famous painting colouring in book or the NASA colouring in book of course I picked the NASA colouring in book  I'm a little bit of a nerd about space because I think it's really interesting and I picked the one where It had the moon and  astronaut floating in space Because that one caught my eye And once we were done colouring in we had to take a screenshot of our colouring and another screenshot of the original  photo then put on a Google slide to they setup for us and we took the screenshot of the colouring  we did  and the screenshot of the original photo and put a fun fact about this piece art you did under the two screenshots.I enjoy this activity because like I said before I love NASA and space and also I like doing things on my Chromebook and colouring in so this is kind of my thing  I didn't find anything challenging because it was really easy and fun to do can you please comment on my blog if you have done this before or any other colouring in book on your Chromebook before.If not here is the link to the nasa colouring book and here is the link to the other colouring book

My Rongoa sign.

We have been learning about rongoa and to summarise. We did this because we are making signs For our school garden to show what plant it is. For this task we had to make a slide to do what we were going to write about the plant. We were had to write what you can use it for or how to use it. My plant was about manuka I enjoyed learning new things about manuka that i didn't know.  I found it challenging to design how I wanted it to look like. But i really like this activity can you please comment if you ever liked my blog post or learnt something new about manuka. This is me and my friend making my sign.

My MAGNIFICENT calendar art.

In the past week we have been learning how to draw shapes We learnt this because we did something like this for  maths where we had to draw 3D shapes  First we had to Pick any New Zealand native bird and draw it on a piece of paper and draw  triangles in the body we had to draw a circle where we wanted a part of the bird to stand we then dyed it in two different colours we thought would look cool and glue crepe paper around the circle so the circle stands out. I found it challenging to make the bird and decide what bird i was going to do. I enjoyed this activity because I really like to do art. Can you please comment on my blog if you liked my art.

What are my three achievements for 2021?

I have been learning how to use canva to make some slides of three things that we have achieved in 2021. We did this because it's nearly the end of the school year and every year we do this to see what we have improved or need to work on next year.We had to go on canva and pick a template then write what you have achieved.I enjoyed this activity because we gotta design it how ever we wanted to and i didn't find anything challenging about this activity

My self portrait yWe have been learning how to mix colours First we had to take a photo of yourself and get a laminating sheet and put your printed photo of yourself in the laminating sheet and you want to trace every little detail on top of the laminating sheet with a Sharpie so you can see where you want paint. once you were ready to paint you had a paint palette for each table and you got dark blue, turquoise, black, yellow, red and white And we had to make  your skin colour your hair colour your eye colour and T-shirt colour with only those colours you had to stay in the Sharpie line because I wouldn't come off if you Tried to wipe it off. You had to do two coats of the same colour in the same place, so you had to make the same colour at times. It's kind of hard to get the same exact color two times. I enjoyed doing the art because I really like art and I found it challenging to make the colours I needed. What is service all about?

I have been learning  to make a poster from canva about service.We did this because we are learning about service.We had to go on canva and make a template  and designed it however we wanted and  wrote what service was I enjoyed is activity because it was fun designing how we wanted it and using canva for the first time I found it challenging to Really think about what I really thought service was can you please  comment on my blog about  what you liked about my poster or what you didn't like or what I could change next time I hope you like my post.

My house saint

I have been learning how to make a poster about my house saint.I learnt this because we were learning about our house saints.we had to make a saint on a google drawing and facts about you house saint.I enjoyed learning facts about my saint. I found it challenging to make my saint.Can you please comment on my blog if you like my saint and if you learnt something new.     

social justice week

I have been learning how to make a poster about Beatitudes i learnt this because it was social justice week and we had to read a poster about the beatitudes and make one of my own and printed it out.I enjoyed this because it was fun to design my poster and i found it i didn't find anything challenging witch is good because i don't like anything challenging.Can you please comment on my blog if you have celebrated beatitude week before.

 

My 3D shapes.

My 3D shapes I have been learning how to draw 3d shapes and learning how to shading as well. I learned this because we were doing calendar art with shapes in it.First we had to watch a video of how to draw and shade shapes and we then learnt how to draw 3D letters and write in 3D shapes and your name. I enjoyed learning how to draw and write in 3D.I found it challenging to make the 3D shape look 3D can you please comment on my blog if you can write in 3D.

My sweet business.

Have you ever seen a beehive? Or had a beehive? My class has been learning about bees and to make and support an inference.For this task we had to read a book about bees and all about beehives and write a paragraph about what the line was connected the to words explaining what we found out from the book. I enjoyed this activity because it was fun learning about bees because I like bees a lot because they actually help with food progress.I found it challenging to remember what i had to write from the page that we read can you please comment on my blog  if you learnt something new and I hope you like it. 

What is faith and what does it mean to you? .

 I have been learning how to make a poster about what faith means to you and I learnt this because our class value is faith. We had to get our R.E book and draw and write about faith.I enjoyed this because it was fun to draw all the things on the page and I found it challenging to write what faith means to me exactly. My Speech About why saint marys teachers are the best.

We have been learning how to write speeches and my speech is about why Saint Mary's teachers are the best.We learnt this because it's the time of the term where we do our speeches in front of the class. We had to think of what we wanted to write about and publish it strate on a google doc. I enjoyed this because it was fun to write about my topic.I found it challenging to pick my topic. Can you please comment on how i did with my speech. 

Do you think that Saint Mary's teachers are the best teachers in the world? Well, I strongly believe that Saint Mary's teachers are  because they are kind, helpful and have respect for you in all different ways. There are no other teachers that could ever do the things that they do and some other teachers can even learn from them because they're very smart, helpful and fun.

They will always have your back if you're sad,happy or mad either way they will always have your back and they help you reach your highest potential in school.They will say things that will help you believe in what you believe.  

They can happily help you with your work if you get stuck and they explain what you have to do very very well. They will always be nice to you and they will have a race with your classmates

they will help you if you need some more help than others and they are very FUN! Things with you and your class and they don't go home until at least 5 they even come to school on a Sunday for the next day. 

And That's why i personally think saint marys teachers are the best i hope i have convinced are you that St Mary's teachers are the best

    

 

Is mr wolf guilty ?

I have been learning about mr wolf  from little red riding hood and if mr wolf is guilty or not we learnt this because we were learning how to write a Persuasive piece of writing and we had to write if you think mr wolf is guilty or not guilty  I thought he was guilty we had to go onto some slides and write three reasons why you think he is guilty or not guilty and watch two videos of the two half stories I found it challenging to think of the reasons why mr wolf  is guilty I enjoyed this task because it was fun  to write about mr wolf and seeing what other people thought because most of us thought that he was not guilty . Do you know how to speak tongan?

 Do you know how to speak tongan? We have been learning how to Speak and learn Tongan words we did this because it is tongan week this week We had we had to  watch a video  translating Tongan words into English words and we had to take what we learnt from that video and put it onto a slide I enjoy this activity because  it was Really interesting learning the Tongan words and learning what the Tongan words meant and I found a challenging To write all of the Tongan words and remembering what the Tongan words ment in English  Here's  a link to the video where we learnt all of the tongan words on my slides. We have been learning to read a book about writing a letter to a friend because she misses her friends so we did this to our friends because we are in lockdown and we can't see them in lockdown we had to read a book  make a copy and write a letter to a friend then send it to them.I found it challenging to know what to write and I enjoyed sending to my friend and making contact with my friend in lockdown instead of going on a zoom call with each other.Here is a link to the book we read.

I have been learning about the paralympics We were learning this because a lot of people know about the olympics  but not a lot of people know about the paralympics. I had to watch a video and write five facts about the Paralympics. I enjoyed watching the video and writing the facts.I found it challenging to write the facts in my own words.Here is a link to the video i watched

 Have you ever seen a volcano?

We were learning how to build a fizz inflator with a balloon, a water bottle, vinegar and some baking soda. I could not find a water bottle or a balloon so i made a volcano with some vinegar, tinfoil and some baking soda .We did this because we wanted to do a science experiment We did this task Because we are in lockdown and my teacher that thought that we can do this because it would be a fun  activity for Lockdown I enjoyed this activity because it was fun to go outside and see what happens.I found it challenging to make the volcano out of the tinfoil and to get all of the measurements correct can you please comment on how i did this activity here is a link to where we got the Information about our activity and the instructions.
